Pre-apprenticeship Carpentry
Carpentry is a versatile career for those with a passion for project management and using a hands-on approach. A carpenter repairs, constructs and installs building frameworks and structures made from wood and other materials. This pre-apprenticeship program is designed for you to gain on-the-job experience with classroom lab instruction.

Note: You must register for all courses to enter the program. Sections are offered each fall, winter and summer.
What will it cost?
The program costs $3,305 for Anne Arundel County residents, including tuition and fees.
What are the requirements?
To enroll, students must:
- Attend an upcoming information session.
- Have a high school or GED® diploma
- Have a valid driver's license and transportation
- Have basic computer skills and daily access to a laptop, desktop or tablet with internet, webcam and audio capabilities
Construction Estimating
AACC partners with Construction Experts Inc. to offer short-term, affordable trainings for experienced and prospective construction professionals. Earn an AACC non-credit certificate for completing the 5 course Construction Estimating program:

- Must be at least 16 years old
- Microsoft Excel software skills
- Possess a high school or GED® diploma
- Experience in the construction industry is recommended to be successful in the training, but not required.
